Well I'm not the addict, it was my mother. I first found out my mother was addicted to methamphetamine when I was twelve. But, since I was 7 my mother would always leave late at night. She would come back in the morning before school and she would take us. Whenever she would talk to me I felt as if she wasn't in reality. She would talk in circles a lot, and plus she would talk really, really, fast. When I was 13 my mom had a baby with another man who wasn't my step-dad. The good man my step-dad was he kept the baby. When my mom had the baby they found drugs in her system, so the judge told her that either she had to get clean or we would be taken away.
My mom had been sober for one year and two months before her relapse. I found out she relapsed when the police came to my door and took me and my siblings away. We had been at the CPS office for about four hours before our step-dad picked us up. Then my mom had to complete a shorter sober term and now she is very close to graduating and getting a job and is now being a real mother.
In conclusion I just want to say, stay away from meth people - it can not only damage you but people you associate yourself with, especially your family. Thank you so much Meth Project for bringing this great gift into the world. Because of you much more people will stay away from meth.
