FROM GOOD UTAH MORMON BOY TO HOMELESS METH COOK IN VEGAS

I started using drugs when my parents got divorced. I grew up in a quiet little town on the out skirts of Salt Lake City, Utah. When I was twelve I started drinking and smoking marijuana. I liked the way drugs made me feel, because it made me forget about the things that were going on at home. I started hanging out with the wrong crowd at school and as a result, my grades went from straight A's to barely passing. I started liking the drunk and drugged up me much more than I liked being sober.

By the time I graduated from high school I was a full blown alcoholic and drug addict. I used every drug out there from LSD to Cocaine.

I had three great children but couldn't hold my marriage together because of drugs and drinking. I switched addictions several times and became very addicted to cocaine. I couldn't get away or break free from this addiction so one night a friend of mine came by and introduced me to Meth. When I found out how great this feeling was I gave up all of the other addictions I had and dedicated myself to my new found friend, METH...

Never in my life could I have ever imagined where this addiction would take me. Within a couple of years of being into this crazy life I was living, I lost my job, got kicked out of my apartment, and was homeless on the streets of Las Vegas. I found a book in a book store one night that had step by step instructions on how to cook and produce Meth from allergy pills that you could buy from the store. I set out to learn how to be the best Meth cook in Vegas. After blowing up several kitchens and coming close to blowing myself up several times I finally learned how to cook the best Meth Las Vegas had ever seen.

I was arrested twice and convicted of felony manufacturing of Methamphetamine. This was 2 of several arrests I had over a long period of time. I was arrested for everything from dealing cocaine to getting 4 DUI's I was very lucky and escaped doing any time but made a commitment the last time I was arrested that I would never use any drug or drink ever again. It was a rough road but I found God and he helped me do it. I have been clean and sober now for 13 years and want to help others that are still out there suffering like I did for years. Everything in this short story of my 25 year addiction to drugs and alcohol can be proven where the various arrests were made. I'm not making any of this up and would love to share my story with as many addicts and young kids that will listen. Meth is not something you want to mess with. Take it from someone that has been there and luckily made it out alive.
